About

A short biography

Nine years of considered engineering.

I design and build the systems behind useful products. Nine years shipping end-to-end, with React and TypeScript on the front and Node and NestJS on the back. Now leaning hard into AI-powered product engineering: LLMs, agents with MCP, RAG, prompt engineering as a product discipline.

What I care about, in order: clarity of intent, predictability under load, and giving the next person on the codebase a fair chance. I question requirements before writing code and ship small, opinionated things. Responsible AI by default: guardrails, honest limits, humans in the loop where it counts.

Based in Envigado, in the Medellín metro area of Colombia, working with teams across the Aburrá Valley and remotely. Available now for select engagements: contract work, lead-engineer roles, technical advisory.

In their words

Our previous site was for internal use only. Clients could not use it, nor track their shipments. Now they manage shipments and pay quickly and securely, even linking Apple Pay.

We used to enter every client's information by hand. Now the clients feed the system themselves: they register, request and pay, which freed us to focus on what grows the business.

The platform took the repetitive data entry off me and gave me the autonomy to resolve directly what used to need long manual processes. The hour that once scheduled a single day now schedules the whole week.
